CBSE Class 12 to announce results by 31 July

The CBSE’s 12-member committee also informed the Supreme Court that the Class 12 results would be released on July 31.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) told the Supreme Court today that Class 12 results will be issued by July 31 and will take into account students’ performance over three years or from Class 10, stating its evaluation method after exams were cancelled due to the Covid controversy.
It stated that the total scores should be based on the school’s previous achievement in Class 12 board exams. “To measure the school’s historical performance in relation to its best general performance in the three-year board exam, the Board declared that the School is reviewed for 2020-21.”
Attorney General KK Venugopal, standing for the CBSE, told the court that a “moderation committee” will be formed to investigate institutions that give students generous grades in order to increase their performance.
“Two of the highest teachers in the school will be formed of the CBSE Class 12 results representative.” If needed, a third expert is elected. According to Mr Venugopal, this is the “moderation committee.”
The CBSE informed the panel of Justices AM Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari that about 40% of the marks will be based on Class 12 pre-board exams, 30% on Class 11 final exams, and 30% on best-of-three Class 10 grades.
Practicals will be worth 100 points, and students would be graded based on the grades submitted by their schools, according to a 12-member CBSE committee.
“It is the category of ‘important replay’ utilised when a student does not fulfil the qualifying conditions, which are now three years old. Students who are unsatisfied with the results of CBSE Class 12 exams may reappear “In court, Mr Venugopal said.
The Supreme Court has approved the central education board’s plan in principle.
Meanwhile, the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) announced that, unlike the CBSE, it will assess students performance over the previous six classes.
During the hearing, the court stated that there should be a dispute resolution panel for students who want their final results corrected and timelines for when the results would be declared and optional tests would be held were provided.
“There needs to be an end date. The optional examination will be specified as well. Subject to favourable conditions and practical challenges, “According to the bench.
“We will undoubtedly do so. That’s all there is to it. We will take notice of the proposals and seriously consider them “According to Mr Venugopal.
The case will be heard again in court on Monday (June 21).
The Supreme Court gave CBSE and CISCE two weeks to develop objective criteria for grading Class 12 students, who rely on these results for college and competitive tests.
Soon after, the boards formed a committee to deliberate on the CBSE Class 12 evaluation criteria.
The government cancelled the CBSE Class 12 board exams on June 1 due to the epidemic sweeping the country. Shortly thereafter, CISCE decided to stop its ISC exams.
